Filter for television picture and its manufacture

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To diffuse an exciting light beam from a picture and avoid both eye fatigue and weakened visual power and make the picture easily visible, by forming a specific transparent plate material into a shape of curved surface closely contacted to the picture face of TV and successively forming protrusive parts, with their unit width in a prescribed value at the space of a hollowed part of a certain width apart, on said surface. CONSTITUTION:A plate material made of vinyl chloride, polycarbonate or the like easy to machine by a press with an excellent heat resistance is formed into a shape of curved surface in such a manner that it can achieve a close contact with the entire picture face of a TV, and on said surface 2 protrusive parts 4, with their unit width 0.1-0.15mm. further formed into a round head shape, are successively formed at a space of a hollowed part 5 in a certain width to construct a filter 1. Said filter is glued to the surface of a cathode ray tube by using adhesive seals 6. In this way, an exciting light beam emitted through scanning lines is diffused by equalizing its diffusion angle, and eye fatigue or weakened visual power and the reflection of external light can be all prevented to obtain an easily visible picture.
