Urea derivative, its production and antibacterial for agriculture and horticulture containing the same as effective component

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:Urea derivatives of formula I (R 1 is 1W8C alkyl, 3W8C cycloalkyl; R 2 is hydroxyl, 1W8C alkoxy group; Y is halogen). EXAMPLE: N-4-chlorobenzyl-N-cyclobenzyl-N'-3'-hydroxyphenylurea. USE: Antibacterial having strong antibacterial activity: they show high activity of killing and inhibiting the growth of bacteria causing plant diseases, especially a high effectiveness on Basidiomycetes. PREPARATION: The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II withan isocyanate of formula III, preferably in an inert solvent at 0W 100°C under normal pressure or by reaction of a compound of formula IV (Hal is halogen) with an amine of formula V in the presence of an acid acceptor such as a hydroxide of alkali metal under the same conditions as the above.
