Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the destruction of the commutatorless motor due to extraordinary torque by inputting the output from a distributor to a distribution signal malfunction detecting circuit for detecting the position of the rotor and stopping the motor with the output from the detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A variable DC power source 1 supplies a rectangular current through a thyristor converter 3 to a commutatorless motor 2. The thyristor converter 3 is controlled by a beta-side pulse phase shifter 5 in response to a control input signal (a) with the signal from the distributor 4 for detecting the position of the rotor of the motor 2 as a reference phase. At this time the signal from the distributor 4 is inputted to a distribution signal malfunction detecting circuit 5 consisting of NAND gates 6, 7, NOR gate 8 and flip-flop 9, which detecting circuit thereupon stops the motor 2. When one of the distribution signals accordingly becomes extraordinary, the malfunction of the signal can be resultantly detected by the logical judgement, and the extraordinary torque of the motor owing to two phase current flows can be consequently prevented, and the motor can be thus protected.
