Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the manufacturing time by a method wherein a mold releasing film materials such as parafins and a thermocompressive protective film material consisting of a synthetic resin are coated on a base paper in the state of a mixed solution or dispersion. CONSTITUTION: A solution or dispersion of a mold releasing film material consisting at least one compound selected from the group consisting of chlorinated parafin, parafin wax, beeswax, etc. is mixed with a solution or dispersion of a thermocompressive protective film material consisting of polyvinyl resin, polyamide resin, stylene-butadiene or the like. The mixed solution or dispersion is coated on a base paper to obtain a thermal transfer stencil paper. Accordingly, a thermal transfer stencil paper can be obtained in a single simplified step, as compared with the convential method wherein a base paper is first impregnated with a mold releasing film material and then coated with a thermocompressive protective film material. Arbitrary characters and/or figures are formed on the thermal transfer stencil paper by use of oil pigment(s), the stencil paper is placed on an adequate substrate, and a hot iron is pressed against the back face of the stencil paper to obtain a clear transferred object.
