Image pickup unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a compact image pickup unit free from color deviation by forming a color separation prism that separates an incident optical image into color components and a solid image pickup element in one body. CONSTITUTION:The optical image of subject 1 strikes dichroic prims 3 by way of image pickup lens 2. Dichroic prims 3 consists of three blocks 3a, 3b and 3c and on the interface between the 1st block 3a and 2nd block 3b, a blue(B)-beam reflective multilayered interference film is vapor-deposited. On the interface between the 2nd the 3rd blocks 3b and 3c, a red(R)-beam reflective multilayered interference film is further vapor-deposited. On the light emission surface of the 1st block 3a, that of the 2nd block 3b and that of the 3rd block 3c, solid image pickup elements 5a, 5b and 5c of CCD, etc., are fixed. Consequently, the color image pickup unit free from color deviation can be obtained while its constitution is made compact.
