Shift mechanism for speed change gear
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To miniaturize a speed change gear remarkably by providing the first shift lever fixed on a shift shaft, the second shift lever pivoted on its oscillating end and a shift drum arranged between said lever and the shift shaft. CONSTITUTION: By turning a shift shaft 2 and the first shift lever 7 in the direction "A" from an illustrated state in which a speed change gear is kept at a neutral position through operating a shift pedal, one claw 13a of the second shift lever 13 mounted rotatably on an oscillating end 14 of said lever 7 through a pivot shaft 16 is interlocked with one of shift pins 25..., and a shift drum 3 is rotated counterclockwise at a given angle. After the rotation, it is regulated by a cam follower 9 of a stopper arm 8 being depressed onto the face of a flower cam 22. Shift forks 28W30 are properly moved thereby to a necessary speed change. According to the above constitution, a variable range of the shift mechanism can be decreased, thereby miniaturizing the speed change gear. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
