Solid fuel without emitting noxious gas
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: A solid fuel suitable for a portable one in accidents, easily ignitable and extinguishable, having a high combustion caloric value, and comprising hexamethylenetetramine as a main component and a specific metallic oxide and a specific metal. CONSTITUTION: A solid fuel prepared by incorporating (A) hexamethylenetetramine with (B) 0.05W20wt% a mixture of (i) one or more types of metallic oxides selected from the group consisting of V 2 O 3 , MoO 3 , Ag 2 O, CuO and Fe 2 O 3 , and (ii) one or more types of metals selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ag, Cu and Ni at a weight ratio between (i) and (ii) of 1:6W3:1 in a mixer, e.g. a ribbon blender. EFFECT: The catalytic detoxication action on a readily oxidizable noxious gas in the case of a high metallic oxide content in (B), and on a readily reducible noxious gas in the case of a high metal content.
