Organic germanium polymer and antispasmodic substance consisting mainly thereof
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare an antispasmodic substance hardly soluble in water, free from sleep-producing effect and other side effects, accelerating the function of the cerebrum, improving the electroencephalographic abnormality and comprising a new organogermanium polymer having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION: A trihalogermane prepared by reducing GeO 2 with a hudrogen halide is reacted with an acrylic unsaturated compound, and the addition product is polymerized in water to give a new organogermanium polymer of formula I or II [A is H, 1W3C alkyl, -COOH, -COOR (R is 1W3C alkyl), phenyl, pyridly, etc,; B is H or 1W3C alkyl; z is OH, 1W3C alkoxy or 1W3C alkyl; n is integer of ≥3] (e.g. 3-oxygermtypropionic acid polymer).
