Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to secure the high reliability of computation processing results by providing a comparison collator between electronic computers and an external output unit and then by receiving and transmitting data through this collator. CONSTITUTION: When electronic computers 1 and 2 are in parallel operation normally, control parts 11 and 21 of input parts 3A and 3B of comparison collator 3 close gates 12 and 22 and open gates 13 and 23. As a result, output data from computers 1 and 2 are stored in input buffers 14 and 24. Comparator 15 of comparison output part 3C compares data in buffer 14 to those in buffer 24 and, when the both agree, opens gate 16 to send the data in buffer 14 to external output unit 4. Next, when computer 2 stops, control part 11 opens gate 12 to send output data direct to unit 4 and control part 21 holds gates 22 and 23 closed. Here, if computer 2 is restored, control parts 11 and 21 close gates 12 and 13 and opens gates 13 and 23 to restart the original parallel operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
