Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled photoreceptor superior in electrophotographic characteristics, such as acceptance potential, charge retentivity against dark decay, etc., by providing an electron donative resin layer having rectifying property between a substrate conductive layer and a charge generating layer in a positive charge type electrophotographic receptor. CONSTITUTION: A precoat layer is formed on a substrate conductive layer using an electron donative resin, such as a melamine resin, polyvinylpyrrolidone, or polyurethane for inhibiting injection of negative charge during corona discharge. After said 0.1W10μ thick precoat layer is formed on the conductive substrate, a 0.5W5μ thick charge generating layer and a 3W50μ thick charge transfer layer are provided on the precoat layer by the ordinary method to form an electrophotographic receptor.
