Scroll fluid machine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a scroll fluid machine in which the diameter of scroll members per unit capacity is small, by making the winding angle of the lap of a stationary scroll member larger within 180 deg. than that of a rotary scroll member. CONSTITUTION:A scroll fluid machine comprises a stationary scroll member 1 composed of an end plate 1a and a lap 1b extending perpendicularly to the end plate 1a and a rotary scroll member 2 composed of an end plate 2a and a lap 2b. Each of the laps 1b, 2b is shaped as an involute or a curve similar thereto. A port 3 is provided in the center of the end plate 1a. Another port 4 is provided in the peripheral part of the end plate 1a. The lap 1b is extended to the winding end 2b' of the rotary scroll member 2. The extended part 1b'-1b'' of the lap is shaped as within 180 deg. as the same involute as the unextended lap or a curve similar thereto to increase theoretical suction volume.
