Electronic timepiece equipped with temperature compensating circuit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve timepiece precision by varying the frequency of a quartz oscillating circuit by reading temperature compensation data in response to the output of a temperature sense oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A time reference signal generated by quartz oscillating circuit 2 is frequency-divided at 4 to drive 6 hand system time display unit 10. Temperature sense oscillator 22 is brought under control 20 to oscillate intermittently in response to a frequency division output and once the output of oscillator 22 is counted up to a fixed value, a signal is generated at 24. In response to the time from the start of the oscillation of oscillator 22 to generation 24 of a fixed time, temperature compensation data in ROM28 are latched 30 to select 21 the temperature compensation data and initial-value adjustment data obtained from code output method 34. A coincidence between this selected output and frequency division output is detected 16 and the coincidence detection output is used to control electronic switch 12 of circuit 2, varying the oscillation frequency.
