Preparation of press-sensitive copying paper

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the destruction of the microcapsule except the case of a proper use by making the particle diameter of a microsphere of the protective agent for the microcapsule, which is foamed and expanded by heating, approximately equal to that of the microcapsule. CONSTITUTION: The fed web 3 is adjusted its tension by the dancer rollers 4, and is coated with the coating solution 7 which contains microcapsules and microspheres and is picked up from the coating solution pan 6 by the coating roller 5, the web the feed direction of which is changed by the backup roller 9 is dried in the drying zone 10 and is wound by the winding roller 13. Since the particle diameters of both the microsphere and microcapsule are the same, the microsphere is not scraped off and the press-resistance and the wear-resistance of the copying paper can be improved.
