Hot-melt adhesive composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a hot-melt adhesive compsn. which excels in adhesive strength to metals, etc., is inexpensive and is easy to handle, by a method wherein a fine powder of graphite or MoS 2 is mixed with a nylon polymer. CONSTITUTION: 1W200pts.wt. of graphite or MoS 2 in the form of finely divided powder having a particle diameter of not more than 100μ is mixed with 100pts.wt. of a nylon polymer such as nylon 6, nylon 12 or a copolymer of the nylon. The mixt. is molded into a film, a filament, a pellet, etc. by an extruder etc., or is kneaded by a roller, a kneader, etc. and then molded into a sheet to obtain a hot- melt adhesive. Better adhesive strength than that of conventional nylon adhesives can be obtd. by heating under pressure for about 2min. The cost of the adhesive can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
