Exhaust pipe for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce vibration of an exhaust pipe, by intermediately eqipping a bellows expansion joint, in which an air stream guide pipe is set, in the vicinity of the exhaust manifold. CONSTITUTION: A bellows expansion joint 2 is interposed in an exhaust pipe 1 in such a manner as to be positioned in the vicinity of an exhaust manifold 3. In the bellows expansion joint 2 an air stream guide pipe 5 is arranged to be set, and this causes the exhaust gas to smoothly pass flowing in the pipe simultaneously prevent a generation of whistlelike abnormal sound at a frequency determined by a shape of the bellow expansion joint 2. Such an arrangement of the joint 2 as interposed in the vicinity of the exhaust manifold 3 can relieve a bending moment generated in the connection part to the exhaust manifold 3 caused by a bending resonance of the exhaust pipe 1, to reduce a transmission of vibration.
