Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable one to arrange many nozzles in a line by providing the nozzles of the ink jet unit rectangularly to the direction of the movement of ink in the ink jet recording head with a row of plural nozzles. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle hole 303 is provided in the nozzle plate 309 laminated on the auxiliary plate 305 that makes up the ink room 301 in the ink jet unit which consists of the ink room 301, channel 302 and nozzle hole 303, the hole is opened rectangularly to the direction of the movement of ink in the ink room 301. That is, it is rectangular to the piezo-electric vibrator 304 that is attached to the wall 308 of the base plate 307. Such ink jet units are arranged so that the respective nozzles 403 may be spaced in a line at regular intervals. Also ink is fed to each ink room 401 from the common ink room 406 through the channel 402.
