Light loading method for continuous sheet
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To make possible continuous loading on equipment, in which cut sheets are transported by a conveyor and placed one over another continuously by a single lay boy, by inserting an air table provided with lief springs and a number of jets on the lay boy which is filled. CONSTITUTION: Sheets cut from web made of paper or others by a cutter, not illustrated here, are placed one over the other on a lay boy 3 sent by a conveyor 1 through a protruding roll 2. When this lay boy is filled, placing is interrupted for a while instructed by the SHEET COUNT-UP signal, and the protruding roll 2 and a spiral lief spring 5B are protruded between the lay boy 3 and the other and on the right hand of a back jogger 4, respectively, and an air table 6 is protruded below them by a transmitting member 9. Thus, temporarily accumulated sheets 7 are supported afloat by the air jetting out of a number of small holes 6A provided in the oversurface of air table 6. The full lay boy 3 is, under this condition, substituted with another, empty lay boy 3, and thus intended continuous loading can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
