Manufacture of decorative fiber board having stereoscopic pattern

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To decorative fiber board having beautiful appearance and mechanical strength by applying pasty substance containing powder granular substance on the surface of basic plate, transferring indentation of concave and convex pattern under pressure of embossing roll, etc. and drying/curing the applied layer. CONSTITUTION: Pasty substance 2 containing powder substance such as pearlite, gypsum, etc. is applied on the surface of base plate 1 of organic or inorganic fiber material by means such as roll coater, flow coater, etc. Next, while said pasty substance-applied layer 2 is under drying, it is thermally pressed by means of heated embossing plate 3 having concave and convex pattern underneath or heated embossing roll having such pattern on the circumference. Said pattern 4 is impressed on the applied layer 2 to such depth as to surfacial layer of basic plate 1.
