Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To remove the limitation of space for mounting an automatic change gear by a method wherein an overdrive gear or a reduction gear is arranged in parallel to a conventional three speed transmission gear. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary change gear 10 is arranged coaxially to a crank shaft 2 and an overdrive gear is provided for this example. The input shaft 11 of the auxiliary change gear 10 extends in the coaxial direction to the crank shaft 2 and is connected with a turbine runner 8. The main change gear 30 is arranged in parallel to the crank shaft 2 and an underdrive gear of forward-three speeds backward-one speed is provided for this example. The output of the auxiliary change gear 10 is transmitted to the input shaft 31 of the main change gear 30 through a sprocket 29, a chain 33, a sprocket 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
