Ribbon shift device for printer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a simplified, light shift mechanism easy to drive by a method wherein there is provided a drive composed of a rotor which rotates by switching excitation of each phase and a stator at a fixed position and a shift part is formed on the external periphery of the rotor and connected with a guide member. CONSTITUTION: When phase C of the stator 25 is excited, phase I of the opposite rotor 24 is attracted and the rotor 24 does not work, so to speak, into a visible state. Then, when phase B of the stator 25 is excited, the rotor 24 turns counterclockwise, phase II of the rotor 24 faces the phase B and makes printing by the use of the uppermost step of a printing ribbon 16. Then, when phase A of the stator 25 is excited, phase III of the rotor 24 turns to face the phase A and shifts and turns a shift arm 17. In this state, printing is made by the use of the middle step of the ribbon 16 and similarly by the use of the lowest step of the ribbon 16. In other words, by switching exciting states of each phase of the stator 25 as B→A→C→A→B→A→ phase C, the ribbon 16 is shifted to make continuous printing. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
