Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a high-frequency heating apparatus capable of inserting the heat-sensitive portion of a probe easily into a substance to be heated, by employing an arrangement in which a probe having at one end thereof a heat sensitive portion to be inserted into a substance to be heated is supported by a support arm secured to a turning tray so as to restrict irregular movement of the probe. CONSTITUTION: A turntable 26 turned by driving means 24 is disposed at the bottom of heating chamber 14 and a tray 28 for mounting thereon a substance 30 to be heated is placed on the turntable 26. For the purpose of detecting the temperature inside the substance 30, heat-sensitive portion 32a of probe 32 is inserted into substance 30, and plug 32c at the other end of probe 32 is fitted into socket 34 on the side wall of heating chamber 14. The socket 34 is designed such that plug 32c can be retained in socket 34 even if it is turned with rotation of probe 32, so as to keep electric connection between them. Here, cable 32b of probe 32 is supported at an intermediate portion thereof by a support arm 40, the lower end portion 40c of which is secured to a peripheral portion of tray 28 in freely detachable manner.
