Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent omission and destruction of thin lines of even a low scanning density by performing direct conversion from character codes to a facsimile signal as to a document which can be input previously as character codes. CONSTITUTION:Synchronizing with scanning clock ST, conversion from character codes to a picture signal is started. A signal from memory control circuit 5 varies in the order of addresses 0-9 at intervals of eight bits of scanning clock CP. At this time, the contents of memory 6 are supplied to character generator 8. Parallel series converting circuit 9 converts the output of character generator 8 into eight serial bits synchronizing with clock CP. Thus, a character pattern of 80 bits for one line is generated and this is transmitted from facsimile transmission control circuit 3 successively as the picture signal.
