Pump
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain stable pressure and flow rate characteristics as well as reduce noise during driving period by sending a fluid under pressure through a groove formed in a relative moving face between a fixed part and a rotary part. CONSTITUTION: When a rotary shaft 1 and a housing 2 turn relatively, kerosine oil 17 is sucked into a pump through a suction hole 8, as shown by arrow (a), by the fluid pressure-sendig action of a spiral group 14 for the pump. When the kerosine oil 17 rises up to the height of a through hole 10, the spiral group 14 for the pump is brought back by a group 15 for lower seal having a pressure-sending action in the opposite direction to the spiral group 14, and therefore, the kerosine oil 17 flows into only the through hole 10. The kerosine oil 17 coming out of the opening 19 is hindered its flow toward the radial direction by the upper spiral group 12 having a pressure-sending action, as shown by arrow (e) at the upper end of the rotary shaft 1.
