Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To use a standard chain, the mass production of which can be effected, and to enable the replacement of only attachments, by protruding pins on the sides of a chain link and fitting the attachments by the pins. CONSTITUTION: Fitting pins 6 are provided at a prescribed pitch P on each link plate 2 of a conveyor chain so that the pins project on the outside of the link plate. The erect fitted parts 11 of attachments 10 provided on a conveying plate 20 have holes 12 at the same pitch P as the pins 6. The pins 6 are inserted into the holes 12. Since the inside diameter of the holes 12 is larger than the outside diameter of the pins 6, the attachments are mounted with slight play. As a result, the cheap mass-produced chain can be used and the attachments can be changed for a purpose. Thus, the production cost of a conveyor is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
