Accelerator of duplex carbureter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the acceleration capability of an engine by forming an acceleration fuel chamber in a downstream intake system of a step-system-accommodated carbureter, which is communicated with an acceleration pump to suck up a fuel for acceleration into the downstream system. CONSTITUTION: A step system consisting of a float chamber 20, a main jet 3, a step air bleeder 6, a fuel orifice 7 and an injection nozzle 8 opening near a secondary throttle valve 2 is connected to a secondary air horn 2'. An acceleration fuel chamber 11 communicated with an acceleration pumping device 10 is formed in the secondary system. Using an air passage 9 with an air jet 12 the bottom of the chamber 11 is connected to the downstream area of the step air bleeder 6. The chamber 20 is guided to a float chamber 20 by an acceleration fuel feedback passage 13. In acceleration a fuel in the chamber 11 is supplied from the injection nozzle 8 and in the time other than acceleration the fuel in the chamber 11 is fed back into the float chamber 20 due to its own weight.
