Throttle valve actuator of duplex carbureter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a downstream throttle valve from opening to overrun in case of a breakdown of a return spring by linking an upstream throttle valve to a downstream throttle valve of an interlock mechanism in a carbureter with the levers and a stopper. CONSTITUTION: An upstream throttle lever 1 having a projection 1b and a stopper 24 is fixed to a valve spindle 3 of an upstream throttle valve 2. A lever 19 having a projection 19a to come in contact with the projection 1b of the lever 1 is jointed to the valve spindle 3. Using a lever 20, the lever 19 is interlocked with a lever 22 joined to a valve spindle 9 of a downstream throttle valve 10. Using a rod 8 including a return spring 18 the valve spindle 9 is connected to a negative pressure device giving no illustration of it. If the spring 18 may be broken down, the stopper 24 comes in contact with the lever when the upstream lever 1 is closed so that the downstream throttle valve 10 is forcedly closed.
