After cooler operation controller for supercharged engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent a charging air temperature from being overheated, by automatically stopping an induction of the engine cooling water circulated in the after cooler, in case of the charging air temperature being lower than the engine cooling water temperature. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling water feed pipe 6, is provided a control valve 8 automatically made opening and closing by a valve controller 9. Further in a charging air passage 12, is provided a charging air temperature detector 10, and near the connection part of the cooling water feed pipe 6 to an engine 1, is provided a cooling water temperature detector 11, which is connected to the valve controller 9. A temperature difference between the charging air, inducted from a compressor 3 into an after cooler 5, and the engine cooling water, flowing in the cooling water feed pipe 6, is detected by the charging air temperature detector 10 and the cooling water temperature detector 11, and the control valve 8 is made an opening and closing operation by the valve controller 9. When the charging air temperature is lower than the cooling water temperature, the control valve 8 is closed, and a feed of the cooling water can be cut off to the after cooler 5.
