Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To discriminate marks definitely and also to miniaturize an unit by printing out marks, which indicates arithmetic results and processing operations, on more than two lines with an arithmetic command key. CONSTITUTION: The electronic desk calculator consists of keyboard part 1, arithmetic part 2, information memory part 3 with memory total register 4 and memory item counter memory part 5, mark selection control part 6, print information register 7, character counter 8, hammer driver circuit 9, comparator 10, printing type drum 11, and drum driver circuit 12. Operating the key for memory subtotal MS, for example, sends the contents of memory part 4 to register 7 by the command of arithmetic part 2 and control part 6 sends information on mark M to the 1st line of assignment register 7. Once register 7 is set, the print command is sent to circuit 12 and drum 11 is driven to print out M. Next, the contents of memory part 5 are sent to register 7 and S is printed out through the same processing, thereby printing out processing operation marks on two lines.
