Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate noise from picture signals in real time by providing a simple optical processing means. CONSTITUTION: Writing light P 1 is irradiated to input face F 1 , and the original picture is sent and written onto space modulation element SLM through lenses L 1 and L 2 and half-mirror HM. Meanwhile, the light reflected by mirror HM and passing through lenses L 2 and L 5 is led to output face F 0 to form an image. Next, reading light P 2 of the dead wave length of element SLM is irradiated form the back face of element SLM through lens L 3 , aperture S and lens L 4 . Here, linear polarization plates PO 1 and PO 2 having polarization directions orthogonal to each other are provided in front and back of element SLM to form a read image, and the read image is sent to output face F 0 through a lens. By this constitution, reading light P 2 passes through element SLM and is incident from plate PO 1 as an optical image having light quantity distribution corresponding to the polarization face rotated by the light quantity of a noise part other than a dark part and is inputted onto output face F 0 to obtain the read image. As a result, on output face F 0 , the light quantity of the noise part is increased, and an output image which has this most part eliminated can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
