Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify structure to make the operation speed high by using plural- system charge transfer elements and by providing charge receiving and transmitting means between respective charge transfer elements. CONSTITUTION: Two-system charge transfer elements CTD are used and are so arranged that transfer directions of them may be opposite to each other. The last bit D 5 of the first CTD1 is connected directly to the first bit δ 1 of the second CTD2, and charge from the former to the latter is transferred completely. Besides this connection, other four bits D 1 ∼D 4 of the first CTD1 are transferred to respective bits δ 2 ∼δ 5 of the second CTD2 partially. Assuming that the rate of charge in the first CTD1 transferred to the second CTD2 is a∼d, the charge quantity transferred from the fitst CTD1 to the second CTD2 is (1-a)∼(1-d) times as large as the charge quantity before distribution.
