Method of controlling velocity ratio of stepless transmission gear for automobile

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To conduct effective exhaust braking specially by relating an exhaust brake with control of a stepless transmission gear. CONSTITUTION: An internal combustion engine provided with a fuel supplier EIP is connected with the input axle 20 of a stepless transmission gear CVT and the output axle 30 of the stepless transmission gear CVT is connected with driving axles 40a, 40b. An exhaust brake control circuit X inputs throttling rate signals, changeover signals from the manual changeover device MAN of the stepless transmission gear, output axle rotational velocity signals and changeover signals of exhaust brake control. A velocity ratio control circuit Y controls the velocity ratio of the stepless transmission gear CVT and outputs the signal which makes the rotational velocity of an engine reach the desired value. The fuel control circuit Z outputs the signal by which the supplying amount of fuel to the fuel supplier EIP is controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
