Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare an yellow disazo pigment having excellent transparency, and suitable as a printing ink, by coupling a tetrazotized dichlorobenzidine with specific two kinds of acetoacetanilide derivatives. CONSTITUTION: The objective disazo pigment is prepared by coupling a tetrazotized dichlorobenzidine with couplers comprising (A) 50W99.9mol%, pref. 90W99% of a compound I (Ar is benzene nucleus which may be substituted with alkyl, alkoxy, halogen or nitro) and (B) 0.1W50%, pref. 1W10% of a compound II (X is alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, or nitro; n is 0W4).
