Material for forming inner tube of rubber hose for fuel
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title material having excellent resistance to gasoline, and desirable compression-set characteristics, suitable for the use in an engine room, and composed of a mixed polymer obtained by compounding an acrylonitrile rubber with a specific amount of polyvinyl chloride. CONSTITUTION: A nitrile rubber is blended with 30W70wt% of polyvinyl chloride e.g. in a closed mixer at a high temperature. The polymer blend is compounded with other additives such as zinc oxide, stearic acid, sulphur, etc. to obtain the objective material. The amount of the polyvinyl chloride determines the cold resistance and the elongation of the material exposed to sour gasoline. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
