Antihistaminic agent

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: An antihistaminic agent knows as a medicine having β-adrenergic nerve- blocking activity, containing a carbostyryl derivative or its acid addition salt as an effective component. CONSTITUTION: An antihistaminic agent containing, as an effective component, a compound of formula (R 1 is H, lower alkyl, or phenylalkyl; R 2 is H, lower alkyl, phenylalkyl, lower alkenyl, etc.; R 3 , 4 are H, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc., or R 3 and R 4 may together with adjacent N atom form a five- or six-membered saturated hetero-ring; the dotted line is a single or double bond) or its acid addition salt. Dose: 40μgW2mg/day for oral administration or injection. Administered 3W4 times daily. The content of the effective component in the whole composition is 1W 70wt%.
