Shielding case for magnetic head
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To increase the abrasion resistance without impairing the shielding performance by coating an alloy composed of Ni, Cr and B onto the tape sliding surface of the shielding case. CONSTITUTION: Coating part 3 is provided at the center of the upper part of the tape running surface on the front face of the magnetic head. Then concavity 5 of a fixed depth is provided at the position mentioned above of shielding case 1, and the metal alloy composed of Ni, Cr and B is coated to concavity 5. The coated alloy is then fused through the heat treatment in the furnace, and part of the alloy forms a solid solution on the surface of case 1. Thus coating part 3 have a strong adhesive force can be obtained. As a result, the abrasion resistance can be increased without impairing the shielding performance of the shielding case, thus omitting the dummy to prevent the uneven abrasion. Accordingly, the induction of the norise due to the dummy can be eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
