Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To change input functions of keys by displacing a keyboard itself with the palm of a hand placed on a palm rest by making it possible to displace the keyboard equipped with the palm rest over a substrate. CONSTITUTION: The front surface of substrate 1 slants with this side lower and the inner part higher, and keyboad 2 is provided which slides on the slanting surface within a fixed range. To detect the displacement position of this keyboard 2, a projection is provided on the reverse surface of the keyboard while several microswitches are arranged on the top of the substrate, and detection signals of those microswitches are inputted to CPU to change functions of input keys. At this side on the board of keyboard 2, palm rest 3 where the palm of an operator is placed is provided and keys are arranged along radical lines from this rest. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
