Hydraulic controller of automatic transmission gear
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the engine transmission torque from turning negative, by reducing the period of overlap in which both gears of high and low are engageable at the same time, when a throttle valve is modulated below a certain level. CONSTITUTION: A 2nd-3rd shift valve 3 is fed with line pressure from a port 4, and a port 5 is connected with a port 24 of 2nd-3rd shift timing valve 23. A port 6 is connected with a hydraulic servo of 3rd gear through ports 34, 35 of the timing valve 23. A throttle modulator valve 11 is designed to generate oil pressure in compliance with the degree of throttling when the valve is modulated below a preset level and to generate constant oil pressure when throttled above the level, as the modulator pressure. The timing valve 23 controls the discharge of oil pressure from a hydraulic servo 2, due to the relationship between the modulator pressure and the oil pressure fed in the hydraulic servo 1 at the time of up-shifting.
