Electrostatic latent image developing apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the reproducibility of low contrast image in a developing apparatus using one-component developer, by charging a chargeable toner in reverse polarity of electrostatic latent image, and slightly weakening the adhesion of toner with toner carrier. CONSTITUTION:A toner is positively charged when passing through a first electrode 6, and the charged toner is powerfully adhered by electrostatic attraction F1 to a developing roller 4 to which a voltage of the reverse polarity as the toner is applied. On the otherhand, a second electrode 7, which is being grounded, electrostatically induces an electric field in the reverse polarity of the toner charge polarity. Therefore, the toner is pulled toward the electrode 7 with a force of F2, but the toner charge is not impeded because a current of the same direction as the first electrode 6 is flowing between the second electrode 7 and the developing roller 4. Thus, by the action of force F2, the toner adhesion strongly deposited on the developing roller 4 may be weakened. Hence, the reproducibility of low contrast image may be increased.
