Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent fixing failure and always obtain a copy of excellent fixing state, by detecting the temperature related to the temperature of copying paper in the paper feed section, and varying the surface temperature of the fixing roll depending on the result of such detection. CONSTITUTION: A surface temperature detecting element TH 1 detects the surface temperature of fixing roll 13, and a copying paper temperature detecting element TH 2 is an element intended to detect the temperature related to the temperature of the copying paper in a paper feed section C (such temperature that has a close correlation with the temperature of the copying paper itself and the temperature of copying paper, and representing the temperature of copying paper), which is provided in the lower face of paper feed elevation table 2 in the paper feed section C. The device is constituted so that when the temperature of copying paper rises, the temperature of the fixing roll lowers, and when the temperature of copying paper drops, the surface temperature of the fixing roll elevates. Thus, preventing fixing failure, always a copy of excellent fixing state may be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
