Separator for luminance and chroma signal

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reject the chroma signal with trap circuit, by detecting the composite video signal incorrect in interleaving with the increase in the chroma signal component in the luminance output signal of the comb type filter circuit. CONSTITUTION: If the interleaving of the chroma signal at the composite video signal is not correctly made, since much chroma signal component is left in the luminance signal output from the addition circuit 6, when the chroma signal component is picked up with the series resonance circuit consisting of the capacitor 14 and the coil 15, the increase more than a given amount can be detected at the detection circuit 25. In this case, the chroma signal trap circuit consisting of the series circuit of the capacitor 28 and the coil 29 is connected to the transmission path of signal to reject the chroma signal.
