Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a partly deposited film having improved designability, and clear-cut edges of deposited parts, by transferring a deposited layer only to the parts to be bonded via a partly applied adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The adhesive 2 is partly applied to one side of the substrate film 1, e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene. The surface of the metal deposition layer 5, e.g. aluminum 100W800Å thick of the substrate sheet 6 on the support 3, preferably drawn polypropylene or polyester, via the release layer 4 is placed on said applied surface 2. The adhesive 2 is then hardened to release the sheet 6, and the deposition layer is transferred to only the applied parts. USE: Packaging films, various labels, and decorating films.
