Quick solidifying method of melt

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To produce a thick amorphous alloy ribbons by spouting melts respectively to the outside circumferential parts of a pair of mutually adjacent high-speed revolving rollers from the plural injection ports formed to a nozzle and rolling and quenching the plural melts with the both rollers. CONSTITUTION:Respectively opposing two or more injection ports 6, 6 are formed on the outside circumferential surfaces of both rolls 1, 1 at the bottom end angle parts of a nozzle 5 and melts 3 are spouted from the injection ports 6, 6 respectively toward the both rolls 1, 1. Two or more melts 3 deposited on the both rolls 1, 1 are rolled, bonded and integrated by the both rolls 1, 1, whereby the amorphous alloy ribbon of the thickness twice higher than that of conventional methods is produced.
