Photo-setting resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: A photo-setting resin composition usable for printing original plates, curable with actinic rays, comprising a polyester composition, as unsaturated polyurethane, an addition polymerization compound having ethylenic double bonds, and a photopolymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION: A resin composition curable with actinic rays comprising (A) a polyester composition having more than one terminal carboxyl group and an average molecular weight of 600W4,000, and not more than one ethylenic double bond in one molecule on the average, (B) an unsaturated polyurethane having an average molecular weight of 1,000W10,000, (C) 2W20 wt.% of one or more types of addition polymerization compounds having ethylenic double bonds of formula I: [R 1 is H or CH 3 ; R 2 is formula II (R 3 and R 4 are H or CH 3 ); Y is direct bond and -O-; m is 1 or 2], and (D) a photopolymerization initiator, e.g. benzoin, in an amount of 0.01W5 wt.% based on the total composition. Preferably, the weight ratio of (A) to (B) is 20:80W80:20, and the total amount of (A) and (B) is 40W 95 wt.% based on the total composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
