Spiral fluid engine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to manufacture spiral members by operating circular machining alone and to process them easily by lathe, by constructing a spiral member of two divided members. CONSTITUTION: Semicircular side plate 4b, concentric with radii, P, 2P, 3P,..., is formed on semicircular end plate 4a and this is made into divided scroll 4. Semicircular side plate 5b, concentric with radii P/2, 3P/2, 5P/2,..., is formed on semicircular end plate 5b, and this is made into divided scroll 5. At this time, the center of semicircular side plate 5b of divided scroll 5 is matched with the center of end plate 5, but side plate 4b of divided scroll 4 is deviated by P/2 with respect to the center of end plate 4a. After a workpiece is processed into a concentric circular form, these divided scrolls 4 and 5 process it by cutting it into halves, which are fastened on circular backup plate 6, and thereby a spiral member is formed.
