Composition for oral cavity application

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a composition for oral cavity application, which suppresses the deposition of sordes on tooth, decomposes the sordes, and prevents the dental caries and pyorrhea, by compounding mutanase and lysine as an activating agent of the enzyme. CONSTITUTION:Mutanase, an enzyme capable of decomposing a polysaccharide, mutane, which is a main constituent of the sordes on tooth, is added with lysine which acts as an activating agent of the enzyme. The mutanase can be prepared from the supernatant liquid of a medium after culturing Trichoderma harzianum OMZ779, etc. The contents of lysine and mutanase in the whole composition are 0.01-10wt%, and 0.1-20wt% (as 5,000-1,000,000 units/g), respectively. Useful as toothpaste, mouthwash, false tooth cleaning agent, troche, etc. The addition of lysine accelerates the decomposing activity of mutanase.
