Data processing system with service processor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To maintain a system in a perfect state by connecting a service processor to the data processing system and by collecting error information and analyzing its cause at a time with combined functions of individual processing processors provided to the system. CONSTITUTION: Data processing system 1 consists of individual processors 2-0 to 2-n with reception parts 9-0 to 9-n and transmission parts 10-0 to 10-n, memory unit 3, and internal data bus 4 connecting individual processors. To those processor 5 is connected via service processor link interface bus 8. This processor 5 is equipped with transmission part 10 and reception part 9 in addition to control memory 7, and connected to the floppy disc unit stored with collected data. In the above-mentioned constitution, error information collection and cause analysis are done at a time by processor 5, thereby checking the possibility of a re-try. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
