Combined gas range and electric range

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable speedy and safe cooking by providing a gas feed passage between a heating plate having an electric heater and a burner head fitted in the burner head. CONSTITUTION: An electric heating portion 1 comprises a sheathed heater 3 cast annularly in a heating plate 3 made of an iron casting or aluminum casting. A burner head 5 of a gas burner is removably fitted in a central recess 4 of the heating plate 2. The recess 4 is formed in its center with a hole 9 penetrating vertically, therethrough, and the top end of the peripheral wall 7 of the hole 6 is provided with a projection 9 which fits in a lower end recess 8 of the burner head 5. A gas passage-forming groove 10 is provided on the outside of the peripheral wall 7, and the top end of the outside wall of the groove 10 is provided with a step 11 on which is mounted the top end peripheral portion of the burner head 5.
