Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide harmless sandblasting method wherein work is first masked by coating thereon with usual printing ink into which added is solvent-type masking medium containing elestic material with hydrophilic radical, and after completion of sandblasting operation, the coated materials are completely removed from the work in such a way that the work is washed with washing water which has no harmful organic solvent contained, and the washing water having any suspensoid generated by the mashing ink on the work is purified by filtrating the suspensoid for reuse. CONSTITUTION: Work 1 is coated by printing thereon with masking ink added with elastic material of such elastic property as rubber-type or polyurethane-type having hydrophilic radical by making use of screen printing or relief printing. After sandblast operation has been completed, the work 1 is washed by pouring washing water onto the work from shower 5 so as to have the masking ink suspended in washing water which is subsequently purified by removing the generated suspensoid therefrom by making use of bag 2 made of 180 mesh nylon cloth, and the purified water is stored in washing water tank 3 in order to reuse it by means of circulation pump 4.
