Dot printer control system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To print even Chinese character the dot-density of which is greater by changing a relative shifting speed of printing head according to the density of dots that form a character to be printed. CONSTITUTION:The printing data is fed to the change-over circuit SW, its code is sent to the character generator CG, and the character pattern is delivered to the register REG through the line buffer CLB. Its output is provided to the driver DV to drive the wire magnet PMG according to the pattern. At this time, the character pattern is changed in the code pattern decision circuit CPJ, and whther it is the Chinese character mode or the alphanumeric mode is decided in the mode decision circuit MJ. Speed of the space motor MOT is controlled by the decision signal. Also a timing signal is fed to the timer circuit TIM to control the wire magnet PMG.
