Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent different data from being double-imprinted on a film by holding a light emission pattern for a fixed time irrespective of the momentarily changing output information of the drive device. CONSTITUTION: At the photographing, a synchro signal is received by a control part 6, from which a light emission start signal is outputted to a driving device 1' for watch. The content of a counter 8 which counts the clock pulses of a generator 7 is then stored as display data in a latch circuit 9. A driving circuit 10 causes a light emitting display device 2 to emit light in the pattern corresponding to the storage content of the latch circuit 9. The counter 8 normally performs counting as a watch and while the display device 2 is emitting light, the pattern of the display device 2 is held, the output light whereof is radiated to a part of the image plane of a film 4 through an optical system 3, thus the clock data is imprinted. It is also possible to imprint the number of the pictures taken, the data, etc. by connecting the terminal b of the control part 6 to the driving device 1" or 1"' for counter or manual operation.
